They’ve agreed to a call. Now what?

  1. Pounce time applies here too. Send a calendar invite with meeting details ASAP. Ideally within a few minutes. They’ll still be in their inbox and your meeting is top of mind. Too late, and it gets lots in the shuffle of email and conflicting priorities.
    1. Your calendar invite should have a 1 hour reminder built in. If you typically use an AI notetaker, some of them do this automatically.
    2. Include an agenda where possible, so when the day comes, they can quickly refresh their memory of who you are and why you have a meeting on their calendar.
  2. When setting up the call, outline your process that helps them know what they’ll get out of the meeting, and whether they need to prepare. Ideally, the first call is rapport building and discovery, but your process will dictate this.
